less than 48 hrs to go

well here i am. in less than 48 hrs i'll be on my way to africa for the grandest adventure of my life so far. and i still need to pack. and spray all my clothes w/ the magic bug spray. oh, and figure out how on earth i'll be able to pack the 7 million prescriptions i've been given in my carry on bag and have enough room for @ least one book.

i've been trying not to think about the flight but it's not working very well. i feel a bit like my anxiety about flying has overshadowed my excitement about the trip to some degree. i have a feeling that once i'm finally on ghanian soil i'll be hit w/ a rush of excitement thats being squashed by nerves now. and i am definitely very excited already...but also very anxious. i guess thats normal tho right. i just wanna get there and have a fabulous time and be so exhausted from all the excitement by the time i come home that i don't have the energy to worry about flying. plus, i have window seats the whooole way back. kaching!

i'll post news when i can. apparently there's wireless in the internet cafe which means i won't be stuck on dial up, so i should be able to update somewhat regularly. the next post on here will be written from hohoe in ghana...which is in africa. =D

  2. Have an amazing time. And just remember, you are more packed than you think you are! :)

Hopefully concentrating on your book will make the time go faster on the plane.

I can't wait to hear about your adventure. Good luck!

  4. I've been following your progress since we dropped you off yesterday. You were superb at the airport! By now you're "boots on the ground" on African soil. Have a blast!
